Mike Mers founded Aspen Capital Management as a fee-only wealth management firm specializing in comprehensive financial planning, diversified portfolio design, and customized investment solutions.  He has spent years helping families reach their long-term goals by linking their personal goals with appropriate financial planning and investment strategies.

 

Prior to founding Aspen Capital Management, Mike was a Partner with the private equity firm BRM Capital.  With over $350 million in assets under management, BRM Capital was a leading private equity investment firm in the information technology sector.  Mike’s career in private equity began in Portland, OR at Intel Capital where he was a Senior Manager of Strategic Equity Investments.

 

Before moving into the investment world, Mike spent 8 years at Hewlett-Packard in both the LaserJet and DeskJet marketing groups in Boise, ID and Vancouver, WA.

 

As an International Rotary Scholar, Mike received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Bristol University in England.  He received his undergraduate Business degree from Boise State University.   

 

Mike is currently a board member of the Boise State University Bronco Athletic Association and past Chairman of the Boise State University College of Business and Economics Advisory Board.
